Welcome to the Pegasus Museum Citadel Diest
Step into the living heritage of the elite, the 1st Paratroopers Battalion.
In the historic Citadel of Diest, experience the story of courage, sacrifice, and camaraderie.
Let yourself be carried away by the glorious history, unique stories, and heritage of bravery, friendship, and sacrifice of those who lived by the motto: “Who Dares Wins.”
OBJECTIVE:
Keeping alive the memory of the 1st Parachute Battalion at the Citadel in Diest.
We do this by offering free, vivid guided tours in our museum and/or at the Citadel in Diest:
Every first Sunday of the month.
Or by appointment for groups.

OUR VOLUNTEERS:
The museum is entirely run by our volunteer guides – often veterans of the 1 Para – who proudly share their memories of life in the barracks and on missions with you.
We are always looking for new volunteers who are willing to dedicate part of their free time to the museum.
OPERATIONS AND SUPPORT:
Our non-profit association Pegasus relies on your support to keep the memory of 1 Para alive. This is made possible through membership fees.
